The Olympics

I love the Olympics, but seriously some of it is so boring. Running is one of those events that is boring to me. Almost any kind of track and field is boring to me, I mean watching someone run 26 miles is just crazy (it's also crazy to actually run the 26 miles, yuck). Has anyone noticed how all those runners look anorexic? Even the gymnasts have more bulk than the runners.

My favorite event however is the gymnastics. I love watching the grace of the gymnasts because it reminds me when I wanted to do gymnastics. I loved the balance beam and the bars as a kid. My favorite gymnastic event is by far the uneven bars. There's something about watching them spin around and around those bars. The rhythmic gymnasts are awesome as well. I'm them as I write this and they are so cool, it's like dance with ropes or hula-hoops. I loved dance when I was a kid as well and was in every form of dance possible (ballet, tap, jazz, you name it). But I was certainly not graceful enough to pull of what these girls do in their routines.

I'm also a little enthralled by the equestrian events, although I haven't watched any yet. I used to love to ride horses as well and it was a ton of fun. I can't wait to see it.

Ever since I was little girl I was fascinated by synchronized swimming, so I have set my dvr to record the team competitions on Saturday. Ever since I saw an old movie where they were performing synchronized swimming I wished they had some performance that I could go see.  Sadly, I missed the synchronized diving and that sounded like something I would have enjoyed.

I can't wait to see the other events, they are so fun to watch.

Hey, it's not crazy to run if you love running! Personally, I don't enjoy it, but lot's of people do!

I always feel like I should watch more of the Olympics than I do. I like watching a lot of it, but I never take the time to actually tune in.

I love watching people running because I know how hard it is. Everytime I'm thinking "how are they doing?" because I remember when I had to run when I was at school. We all had to run for 20 minutes and it was sometimes hard so I just can admire these people who can run a marathon (42km just sounds amazing when you think about it).
That said, I love watching the olympic games. Every sport is good to see because all the athlets train so hard. So, of course there are some sports you watch during 5 minutes before to switch to another channel but it's still interesting.

Viva the games!
